Generations

This video installation consists of three monitors placed next to each other in a horizontal line. It shows video-registrations of the bodies of three generations of men: my grandfather, my father and me.

The images were taken by a camera moving vertically to scan the three bodies and their identities from top to bottom. The mechanical registrations of the bodies enter and leave the image, distributed across the various monitors / projectors. In this way the installation, which runs continuously, interconnects the three generations.
